My happy moments are lost in beautiful books… Currently enamoured by Francois Halard,A Visual Diary. I love the way this book has been put together, a mixture of collaged images, handwritten fonts, it's so inspiring to look through. The book is printed on luxurious feeling paper, uncoated and pure. Featuring polaroids from Luis Barragán's Mexico city home, a visit to Louise Bourgeois apartment, the wild gardens of Dries Van Noten…what a beautiful trip. A little bit of roughness, raw style, emotions. A really well done scrapbook in a large coffee table version.
Ryan McGinley's book Way Far. What magic. Young people, all through American landscapes, nude, free…a pure vision of the human experience in this natural world, illustrated so beautifully. I have loved Ryan's photography ever since I first saw it when he shot Kate Moss for W magazine back in 2007…I remember thinking wow these are the most beautiful photos. So ethereal, so dreamy.

Lately in our studio painting…there has been such an ease to it, it's been a while, but in a way it feels like the feeling and joy I get from it has not changed since I was young. Still that same 5 year old inside me, mixing colours, playing with shapes, letting my mind wander…
