The Process: Candles

Daily rituals that become habits.

Every evening in our cozy little home in the countryside of Spain, as dusk is turning into the night, we light candles and take a moment to reflect. We listen to music, from the old blues of Junior Kimbrough, to the soft jazz of Billie Holiday to Tame Impala, Khruangbin, old raggae…whatever fits the mood, the vibe, the feeling. We don’t own a tv but of course screentime is ever present as we continue to work away on our computers. That’s why it’s important to us, to feed the daily ritual of this ancient tradition, a burning fire to remind us of the pure joy of the simple things and to take time to be grateful for our shelter, our food, and even our wine…

Just like a lot of things in our life, making candles started out as an extension of a hobby learned from a YouTube tutorial. But after enjoying selecting the various scents, designing the branding, and finding so much joy to sharing the candles as a gift, we started selling them along with our other products and it seems like other people like them as much as we do!
